As many as 15.6 percent of companies are planning salary increases in the coming months, 13.4 percentage points less compared to a previous survey conducted earlier this year, but 4.3 points more than in the corresponding period of last year, according to a report by Work Sevice. “The majority of employers grant [raises] in the first and second quarter, while in the second half of the year there is often no free funds in their budgets to improve salary levels,” the report explained.

Large companies (with over 250 employees) are the most willing to consider salary increases (20.4 percent), as well as companies in the service sector (26.5 percent) and production sector (25 percent). Interestingly, only 0.7 percent of firms may consider lowering salaries.
