Retail sales grow by 9.2% in March – GUS

Retail sales increased in March by 9.2 percent year-on-year and by 17.8 percent m/m, according to Central Statistics Office GUS. Market consensus prepared by the Polish Press Agency (PAP), saw the sales increase by 7.6 percent y/y and 16.3 percent m/m.

FinMin: Budget surplus at PLN 3.1 bln at end-March

The Ministry of Finance has informed that Poland recorded a budget surplus of PLN 3.1 billion at end-March. During that period, PIT revenues increased by 16.3 percent, while CIT revenues were down by 4.1 percent y/y, while VAT revenues were in line with last year’s results.
