48% of online shoppers still pay in cash

Some 48 percent of people making e-purchases in Poland choose cash payment on delivery, according to a study conducted for Krajowa Izba Rozliczeniowa (KIR) and the Polish Bank Association (ZBP).

In the study, carried out by Kantar TNS, 40 percent of respondents declared that they shop online, with 48 percent of people choosing cash payment on delivery, 31 percent use online payment or prepayment by bank transfer, and 3 percent of respondents pay using a mobile device.

The survey was conducted in March 2018 on a nationwide, representative sample of bank customers aged 15 and over.
