7 out of 10 Poles think cost of living is high or very high

According to 70 percent of Poles, the cost of living in Poland is high or very high, the report “Polish statistical portfolio” has found. The report was conducted by the National Debt Register (KRD) prepared on the basis of research by Kantar Millward Brown. Every month the average household has to pay liabilities amounting to PLN 1,572, while three years ago it was PLN 976.

The cost of monthly bills has increased by as much as 61 percent compared to the first edition of the survey in 2015. The minimum wage in this period has increased by only 20 percent, and the average monthly wage in the business sector increased by 23 percent according to the Central Statistical Office.
