The total value of investment transactions closed in the commercial property market in Poland in 2018 amounts to more than €7.2 billion, according to the latest report by Savills. This is the highest volume in history with the figure for the year 2017 (also a record at that time) having stood at approximately €5 billion, the company said. Over 100 investment deals were finalized last year and the volumes invested in the particular sectors also reached all-time highs.
More than €2.7 billion, €2.5 billion, over €1.8 billion and almost €120 million was transacted in the office, retail, warehouse/industrial and hotel sectors respectively, according to Savills data. The value of investment transactions in the warehouse/industrial sector increased by 83% y/y in 2018. Savills experts predict that the good performance of Poland’s commercial property investment market will continue in 2019 with robust investment activity being mainly anticipated in the office and warehouse/industrial sectors.
