Warsaw Stock Exchange-listed Alta, the investor behind the Siewierz Jeziorna urban planning project in Silesia, has signed a preliminary agreement with Metsä Tissue Poland, the owner of a major post-industrial site in Konstancin-Jeziorna near Warsaw, regarding the planned commercialization of the land.
Alta is to come up with a development plan for the site that will maximize its potential and will be acceptable to both the municipal authorities and inhabitants of Konstancin-Jeziorna and potential investors and developers. Alta will also advise the owner on the division of the land into smaller plots and the selection of a group of investors to whom the plots will be sold.
A manufacturer of paper personal hygiene products, Metsä Tissue Poland closed its production facility in Konstancin-Jeziorna in 2012 with the site having been earmarked for sale since then. Alta’s new strategy for the years 2018-2022 envisions a focus on co-investing in and managing urban planning and urban regeneration schemes.
