Big cities with the most new retail supply in H1 – report

A total of more than 172,000 sqm of new shopping center space was completed in the biggest agglomerations in Poland – Warsaw, Wrocław, Kraków, the Tri-city, Poznań, Szczecin, Łódź and the Silesia conurbation – in the first half of this year, which accounts for 75% of the combined H1 supply of new shopping center space in the country, according to the latest report by Colliers International.

The shopping center markets in the agglomerations analyzed by Colliers International are the “owner’s markets” with the average vacancy rate there not exceeding 3.3%, said Katarzyna Michnikowska, associate director in the company’s research and consultancy services department. Nevertheless, rents have remained stable with an upward pressure visible in the case of the best units in prime shopping centers.
