A biomass heating plant with 17MW capacity is to be built by the end of 2019 in Biała Podlaska in the Lubelskie voivodship. The construction cost is over PLN 30.5 million. The investment was co-financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
The heating plant will be fired with wood chips. Biomass combustion will take place in two water boilers – one with a capacity of 5MW and a second one with 12MW. According to the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW), the new plant will produce 106,370MW of thermal energy per year.
