PMI returns to growth side

Poland Manufacturing PMI grew to 51.2 points in October compared to 49.5 in September, according to a release from HSBC and Markit Economics. It had remained below the neutral level of 50 for four months.

IMF: Poland may need monetary easing

Grupa Lotos with unexpected loss in Q3

Poland’s second-largest oil firm Grupa Lotos recorded a net loss of PLN 35 million in the third quarter of 2014, the companz said in its financial report. Analysts surveyed by the Polish Press Agency had expected the result to be a net profit of PLN 75 million.

PGNiG buys Norwegian licenses for almost PLN 1 bln

PGNiG Upstream International, a subsidiary of Poland’s natural gas giant PGNiG, has acquired stakes in four oil and gas licenses on the Norwegian Continental Shelf for NOK 1.95 billion (PLN 996 million), the company said in a statement on Monday.
