Investor Global City Holdings has officially launched construction work on the first phase of its Park of Poland project in Mszczonów near Warsaw, which will involve the development of the largest water park in Central and Eastern Europe. Called Suntago Wodny Świat and valued at €150 million, the 67,000-sqm water park scheme will include swimming pools covering a total of 3,500 sqm, 30 water slides (among them the longest water slide in Europe) and ten saunas. The development, which will sit on a 20-hectare plot, is scheduled to be completed in 2019. In the future, the investor plans to also develop a number of thematic parks, hotels, office buildings and residential buildings, as well as a shopping center and a conference center within the 400-hectare Park of Poland complex.
