Retail space developer Dekada has outlined its investment timetable for next year. The company plans to launch construction work on four eponymous, already announced projects in 2018, including three new shopping center schemes and one development involving the extension of an existing mall.
At the beginning of 2018, Dekada will apply for a building permit for Dekada Nysa (19,000 sqm of GLA). For their part, Dekada Konin and Dekada Mińsk Mazowiecki, which will be built in cooperation with PKP and Xcity Investment and will combine the retail and transport functions, will come under construction in the spring and autumn of next year respectively.
Additionally, in the autumn of 2018, Dekada will start expanding the Dekada Skierniewice mall. The developer will add a combined 20,250 sqm of space on four floors (including two underground levels housing a parking lot). The retail area of the shopping center will increase by some 8,250 sqm.
There are currently eleven operating Dekada-branded shopping centers across Poland, which are located in Brodnica, Ciechanów, Grójec, Kraków, Malbork, Myślenice, Nowy Targ, Olsztyn, Sieradz, Skierniewice and Żyrardów. The chain is to eventually comprise at least 20 malls. BOIG Property Consulting is acting as the leasing agent of Dekada centers.
