EC to put EUR 172.5 mln into promoting EU food 

The European Commission is to invest EUR 172.5 million into promoting EU agri-food products in Europe and around the world. Some 79 campaigns will be implemented in the next three years.

The campaigns will concern the promotion of a wide range of products, such as dairy products, olives and olive oil, as well as fruits and vegetables.

Applicants of selected programs come from 19 Member States.

The EC has accepted four Polish programs. Their combined budget amounts to EUR 11.2 million, of which EU co-financing amounts to over EUR 8.5 million. The programs will be implemented by the Association of Polish Butchers and Meat Producers, the Sady Grójeckie Association, the National Poultry Council and the Association of Polish Fruit and Vegetable Fruit Distributors.
