Economic Sentiment Indicator drops in March

The Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) for Poland, calculated by the European Commission, decreased to 110 points in March, down by 2 points m/m.

In industry, the ESI dropped to -3.7 points, compared to -2.8 points last month. In services, it contracted to 7.6 points from 8.9 points.

In the construction sector, the indicator was at -6.9 points compared to -6 in February. The consumer sentiment component of the ESI stood at -0.2 points in March compared to 1.3 points the month before. For retail, the indicator decreased to 7.5 points compared with 9.8 points last month.
