Euler Hermes forecasts increase in bankruptcies in 2019

Credit insurance company Euler Hermes predicts that the number of bankruptcies in Poland in 2019 will increase by as much as 6 percent.

The global insolvency rate analyzed by Euler Hermes, covering 43 countries and accounting for a total of 83 percent of global GDP, increased by 10 percent y/y in 2018. In 2018 as many as 20 countries recorded more insolvency than in 2017.

Some of the factors that contributed to the increase are: weaker macroeconomic context for some countries; the implementation of new types of bankruptcy procedures; and a greater inclination to use insolvency procedures in China.
