Eurostat: Retail sales up by 4% in December

The volume of seasonally adjusted retail trade in Poland grew by 4 percent year-on-year in December, according to a data release from the EU’s statistics office Eurostat. In month-on-month terms, it dropped by 1.7 percent.

Throughout the EU retail trade increased by 2.3 percent y/y and shrunk by 0.8 percent in month-on-month terms.

According to the Polish Central Statistical Office, retail sales grew by 6.1 percent y/y in December.
