The volume of seasonally adjusted retail trade in Poland grew by 7.1 percent year-on-year in October, according to a data release from the EU statistics office Eurostat. In month-on-month terms, it grew by 1.8 percent.
According to the Polish Central Statistical Office (GUS), retail sales inched up by 4.6 percent y/y in October.
Eurostat uses different methodologythan GUS to calculate retail sales. The EU office includes the smallest companies with 10 employees or fewer, but does exclude car sales.
