The budget deficit planned for 2019 is PLN 28.5 billion, said the Minister of Finance Teresa Czerwińska in an interview with TVP Info. She added that this year’s deficit may be implemented in 60-70 percent. “We have planned a deficit of PLN 41.5 billion this year and there are many indications that this deficit will not be fully implemented. Last year this figure reached 40 percent of the planned deficit. For this year I hope that this figure will be at 60-70 percent, while the remaining part will remain unfulfilled,” she said.
“We are planning for a PLN 28.5 billion deficit for next year,” she added. Out of that figure, PLN 2.4 billion will be spent on wage increases in the public sector, while nearly PLN 7 billion is to be spent on the indexation of pensions.
