The Royal Castle in Warsaw will host The Flowing Hair dollar, the first dollar coin issued by the United States federal government.
The coin, alongside a historic copy of The Declaration of Independence, will be exhibited from February 16 to February 18. Admission is free.
The Flowing Hair dollar was minted in 1794 and 1795. Its size and weight were based on the Spanish dollar, which was popular in trade throughout the Americas. In 2013, its value reached PLN 10 million at auction, maiking it the most expensive coin in the world.
