Eight doctoral students representing universities from across Europe will take part in the first international doctoral studies on brewing and malting. They will gain specialized knowledge in universities, breweries, and other firms in the brewery sector. The project was inaugurated on Tuesday in Kraków.
The leader of the consortium implementing the program is the Agricultural University of Kraków. The consortium also includes the University of Copenhagen, the University of Nottingham, the University of Ghent, the Catholic University of Leuven, and the Technical University of Berlin.
The coordinator of the program, Aleksander Poreda, believes that the studies are pioneering and innovative. “The main objective of the program is to train young professionals in the dynamically developing brewing industry who will not only lead advanced research, but above all implement innovative solutions for the brewing industry in Poland and around the world,” Poreda said.
