Fitch: GDP growth in 2020-21 to reach 3.2%

According to the latest long-term forecasts by Fitch rating agency, Poland will have 3.2 percent GDP growth in 2020 and 2021, which would be on the same level as GDP growth predicted for 2018 and 2019. For this year, Fitch expects Polish economy to increase by 3.3 percent.

Moreover, Fitch commented on the country’s tax collection system, which according to the rating agency has achieved a “structural improvement.” “The budgetary income for the first five months of 2017, including a 30 percent increase in VAT revenue, suggests that the government’s strategy to tackle the high VAT gap has achieved a structural improvement in tax collection,” it said.
