Fitch increases Poland’s GDP growth forecast to 4.4% in 2017

GDP growth will come in at 4.4 percent in 2017, then slow down to 3.6 percent in 2018 and to 3.2 percent in 2019, according to the latest projections by the Fitch ratings agency. Fitch increased GDP growth projections by 0.4 pp for 2017 and for 2018, and maintained its projection for 2019, compared to its October forecasts. The agency forecast CPI inflation to increase to 2 percent at the end of 2017, 2.3 percent at the end of 2018 and 2.5 percent a year later. Fitch also expects interest rates to increase from the current level of 1.5 percent to 2.5 percent at the end of 2018 and to 3 percent at the end of 2019.
