Fuel prices grow on geopolitical risks

Fuel prices are growing, for both wholesale and gas stations. On average, gasoline and diesel prices went up by PLN 0.04-0.05 per liter during the last week. This is a reaction to the increase of geopolitical tension in the Middle East, analysts said.

According to the estimates, prices may continue growing this week, but the expected growth should not be significant.

The rising oil prices result from the risk of US military intervention to Syria. Brent crude prices on the London Stock Exchange grew on a weekly basis close to $6 per barrel, demonstrating the highest weekly increase since the end of November 2016.
