Martin Haakon Gran is Managing Director and Partner of Snøhetta – an award-winning international Oslo and New York based architecture firm, which has become one of the most discussed and sought after practices today, due to the self-defined transdisciplinary process in which different professionals exchange roles in order to explore differing perspectives without the prejudice of convention.
In GIS Warsaw 2014, Martin Gran will hold a presentation about: «Concept Design – from Architecture to Branding; Collective creativity in collaborative work» illustrating National September 11 Memorial Museum Pavilion in New York. On May 15, 2014, President Barack Obama has been present for the dedication of the National September 11 Memorial Museum & Pavilion at the World Trade Center site. The Pavilion and Museum has opened to the public for the first time on May 21, 2014.
About his participation in GIS Warsaw 2014, Martin Gran said: ”I will talk about projects we have developed for the National September 11 Memorial Museum Pavilion in New York, for Saudi Aramco in Suadi Arabia, Newsweek in New York and a Norwegian project called Avinor. I really look forward to the convention. I believe there is a lot in the saying of When people meet, things happen. Hopefully this occurs in Warsaw.”
