Arch. Dominic Harris, the winner of the Lighting Design Awards 2014, will attend GIS Warsaw 2014 International Interior Architecture, Design and Lighting Expo Conference as guest speaker. The Moon Chandelier, project which he will present in GIS, proved to be a winner amongst the judges who described it as “absolute genius” and ”beautifully engineered”, observing ”this is the first time a significant lens has been used to control OLED”.
Dominic Harris is the founder and creative director of Cinimod Studio, a cross-discipline art studio based in London specializing in the fusion of architecture and lighting design. It was founded by Dominic Harris, whose passion for interactive art and lighting design has produced built projects now found across the international art and architecture scene.
About his participation as guest speaker in GIS Warsaw 2014, Dominic Harris said: “The event unites designers, specifiers and clients, in an environment where design and innovation is considered to be an integrated art form. I’m hoping to meet with handfuls of truly inspirational designers and leaders within the industry and to share my own experiences that others can learn from and enjoy. The very nature of our work is on such an international level that it would be wonderful to discover new projects in Poland and beyond. Though funnily enough, having visited Warsaw many times and never doing a project there, I have flown an audacious UFO over Gdansk!”.
