Government adopts draft budget for 2019, predicts 3.8% GDP growth

The Council of Ministers has adopted the preliminary draft budget law for 2019, assuming GDP growth at the level of 3.8 percent (in real terms) next year, compared to 3.9 percent for this year and with the deficit of the state budget at no higher than PLN 28.5 billion.

“The main goal of the government’s budgetary policy is to maintain the stability of public finances while promoting economic growth and solidarity social policy,” the press release read.

Besides changes aimed at strengthening state budget revenues, in 2019 there are plans to support entrepreneurship and innovation, which is part of the government’s Strategy for Responsible Development.
