Poland’s largest chemical company Grupa Azoty is looking for as many as 10 acquisitions, the firm’s CEO Paweł Jarczewski told the Financial Times.
“In the past, we were not aggressive enough,” Jarczewski said. “Today we are in a rush. The industry is consolidating rapidly.”
Grupa Azoty is looking to become the biggest player in Eastern Europe. “This is the place for consolidation,” Jarczewski said. “For smaller, independent central European companies, we are the best option.”
The chemical group will turn to both Polish and international banks in search of acquisition financing, the CEO also said.
