GUS: GDP growth in 2015 higher than previously estimated

GDP growth in 2015 was 3.9 percent, 0.3 higher than previous estimated, according to information released by the Central Statistical Office (GUS). In April, GUS announced that 2015 GDP had grown 3.6 percent.

Average annual GDP growth in the period covered by the revision (2010-2105) did not change in comparison with data published previously and stood at 3.1 percent.

The biggest impact on the revision of GDP growth figures came from revised NBP data on foreign trade and purchases by foreigners in Poland,” said Olga Leszczyńska-Luberek, Deputy Director of the Department of Accounts at GUS.
