GUS: Poland with trade deficit in January

According to data released by Poland’s Central Statistical Office (GUS), in year-on-year terms, exports in January contracted by 0.4 percent, while imports grew by 5.3 percent.

In value, the January exports amounted to PLN 69.4 billion, while imports stood at PLN 71.4 billion. The trade deficit was at PLN 2 billion, down from PLN 1.9 billion surplus in January last year.
