Job vacancies up by 8.1% q/q in Q2

The number of job vacancies in the second quarter increased by 8.1 percent on the last quarter and 35 percent y/y, according to Central Statistics Office (GUS) data.

At the end of Q2 2018, the number of vacancies in entities employing at least one person was 164,700 and was higher than at the end of the first quarter by 12,300, i.e. by 8.1 percent.

GUS also reported that in the second quarter of 2018, there was a 34.9 percent drop in created jobs compared to the previous quarter, but 1.7 percent more than a year earlier.
