Discount supermarket chain Lidl has leased 1,850 sqm of retail space in the Solaris Center shopping mall in Opole in south-western Poland and will open a store there in the final quarter of this year. The retailer will take up the area which was until last year occupied by supermarket chain Delikatesy Alma. Lidl currently has more than 600 stores in Poland. Solaris Center, which is located in the downtown of Opole, comprises approximately 18,500 sqm of retail space and houses around 90 stores and points of service. The shopping mall is owned by Rockcastle Global Real Estate.
