On Wednesday LOT canceled 12 flights from and to Warsaw because of the strike, Konrad Majszyk from LOT press service said. Stewardesses and pilots participating in the strike have been refraining from work for seven consecutive days.
On Tuesday LOT said that it had to cancel 28 flights in total due to strike, including 24 on Monday. LOT called the strike “illegal” and underscored high costs of every canceled flight.
LOT spokesperson Adrian Kubicki said the management board is open to talks with protesters. “Unfortunately, the trade union wants only union leaders to talk to us. The protesters are not responding to our invitation. The management is surprised,” he said.
