A total of approximately 196,000 sqm of leasable space located in shopping centers and scheduled to be completed in 2019 is currently under construction across Poland, according to a recent report by JLL. The figure marks a 40% decrease upon the same period last year, the study said. In the opinion of JLL experts, this shows that the market for traditional retail formats in the country is getting more and more saturated with developers and tenants increasingly focusing on mixed-use projects. The biggest shopping center schemes set to be delivered in Poland in 2019 include Galeria Młociny in Warsaw (72,000 sqm), Color Park in Nowy Targ (27,000 sqm) and Stara Ujeżdżalnia in Jarosław (26,000 sqm).
