Warsaw Stock Exchange-listed developer Marvipol has finalized the acquisition of 3,500 sqm of land located on ul. Chmielna on Granary Island in downtown Gdańsk where it plans a residential project comprising 9,000 sqm of usable space. The plot is covered by a zoning plan with the company expecting to launch construction work in the location next year. Earlier this year, Marvipol also bought a residential site located on ul. Toruńska near Granary Island.
“We are consistently building our position in the Tri-city market,” said Mariusz Książek, the management board president at Marvipol. He added that the company is mainly interested in the development of relatively small, upper-standard schemes in the agglomeration, but is not ruling out the construction of larger investments there.
Since the beginning of 2017, Marvipol has already acquired five sites for residential projects. Apart from the two Gdańsk acquisitions, the company has bought plots of land on ul. Grzybowska, ul. Siedmiogrodzka and ul. Okrzei in Warsaw.
