Major Polish food processing group Maspex has signed a prelimary agreement with PE fund IK Investment Partners on the acquisition of selected assets in Agros Nova, Maspex said in a press release on Friday. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Maspex will become the owner of preserved food and fruit juice brands such as owicz, Krakus, Kotlin, Włocławek, Fruktus, Tarczyn, DrWitt.
The takeover is subject to approval from the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.
The deal is expected to create a food processing group with PLN 4 billion in turnover annually. It is the eight acquisition carried out by Maspex on the Polish market and 17th in total.
