Warehouse space developer MLP Group has revealed it signed 32 lease agreements for a total of more than 220,000 sqm of warehouse space in 2017, which is over twice as much as in the previous year. In the final quarter of last year alone, the company signed agreements for a total of almost 80,000 sqm. The biggest new tenants secured by MLP Group in 2017 include retailer Żabka Polska, for whom the developer will build nearly 25,000 sqm within the MLP Gliwice logistics park.
“This year we do not intend to slow down. We are thinking about two new investment projects in Poland. At the same time, we have a huge growth potential at the existing parks. We also want to invest more in speculative buildings,” said Radosław T. Krochta, the president of MLP Group. At the end of last year, the MLP Group portfolio comprised 460,000 sqm of completed warehouse and industrial space, while another 92,000 sqm was under construction. The developer now holds sites with building permits on which a further more than 340,000 sqm can be built in the future.
