Polish weekly Wprost reported that a tender won by Airbus for the delivery of military helicopters for the army might have been rigged. “Civil servants are postponing talks on the offset with the French to avoid responsibility for possible irregularities,” the newspaper reported.
Wprost claims that a committee auditing the tender has confirmed the inconsistencies, including falsifying some of the test results.
Minister Of Defense, Tomasz Siemoniak, dismissed the allegations tweeting “Are you joking in this heat? How can an 11-person committee under the supervision of [special] services forge anything?”
Jacek Sońta, a spokesperson for the ministry, announced in the statement that the claims are lies and that the ministry will sue the authors and the publisher.
