The GDP growth forecast for the whole of 2016 is 3.4 percent, Deputy Prime Minster and Minister of Development Mateusz Morawiecki announced on Wednesday.
The forecast presented by him is in line with the expectations of the Ministry of Finance included in its draft budget for 2017. The ministry foresees that this year will close with GDP growth of 3.4 percent, and that next year GDP will grow by 3.6 percent. The MF had originally assumed growth of 3.8 percent in this year’s budget act.
According to data for August from the Central Statistical Office (GUS), GDP grew 3.1 percent y/y, and 3 percent in the first quarter.
