Cinema operator Planet Cinema has leased more than 2,000 sqm at the Platan shopping center in Zabrze in Silesia. The company will open a six-screen cinema in the location in the autumn of this year. Cresa Polska represented the tenant in the lease negotiations.
The Zabrze cinema will be the third cinema of the Planet Cinema chain. The operator plans to enter four Polish cities – Kutno, Ciechanów, Kołobrzeg and Zawiercie – within the next few years.
Opened in 2003, Platan currently offers 31,000 sqm of space. The shopping center, which is owned by NEPI Rockcastle, is now being modernized and extended, and will soon get an additional 11,000 sqm of GLA.
