Nearly 35% of Polish internet users block ads

In the second quarter of 2015, 34.9 percent of the Polish internet users blocked advertisements via such tool as Ad Block Plus, according to a report complied by PageFair  and Adobe. Globally, 181 million people block ads, thus the number grew by 41 percent year-on-year, consequently publishers lost almost $22 billion in ad revenue.

Poland is the second largest European country when it comes to the share of users who block internet ads, Greece leads the rank with 36.7 percent. In France, only 10.4 percent users do so.

In the US, 48 percent of internet users, has ad block software installed.

Game websites are harmed the most, over 26 percent of its visitors block ads, following by social media portals (19 percent) and new technology platforms (17 percent).
