Number of ATMs keeps declining – NBP

The number of ATM machines keeps decreasing: as of end-December 2017 there were 23,230 ATMs in Poland, after having declined by 96 over the fourth quarter, the National Bank of Poland stated. Over the course of nine months (March 2017-December 2017), the number dropped by 521. In Q4 2017 the number of cash withdrawals from ATM was 167.4 million, a drop of 3.9 percent q/q. The value of the withdrawals in Q4 also decreased, by PLN 1.8 billion to reach PLN 83.5 billion.
