Orange Polska has signed a contract with cable TV operator Inea regarding the use of its fiber-optic network to provide the internet to 40,000 (ultimately 150,000) households, the company said. Orange plans to launch its services on the network of the Poznań operator in the coming weeks.
The cooperation between Orange Polska and Inea will be developed in the coming months so that by the end of 2019 it will cover approx. 370,000 households, including approx. 150,000 in the wholesale internet access model BSA (bitstream access).
About 3 million households in Poland are within the reach of the Orange Polska fiber-optic network. Orange’s goal is to extend the fiber range to 5 million homes and offices by 2020.
