WSE-listed hotel operator Orbis opened its first two hotels in Slovenia, under Mercure and ibis Styles brands, the company said in a market filing. The facilities were launched in cooperation with a local partner and investor Terme Maribor.
Both hotels are situated in Maribor. Slovenia is the 12th country in which Orbis has facilities. “The modernization of these two hotels is part of the adopted strategy that will allow us to become one of the most recognizable and significant hotel operators in our region. We believe that thanks to the partnership with Orbis we have gained new know-how, higher standards and better conditions for presenting our offer to foreign guests,” said Ignacio Rodriguez from Terme Maribor.
Orbis operates 126 hotels in Poland and CEE region with some 21k available rooms.
