Over 1.9 million sqm of warehouse and industrial space was under construction in Poland at the end of 2018, 36% more than a year before, according to the latest report by Savills. The most new space – almost 490,000 sqm (including 210,000 sqm in a BTS project for Amazon in Gliwice) – was being built in Silesia, the study said. According to Savills data, in 2018 developers completed more than 2.2 million sqm of warehouse and industrial space in Poland, only 140,000 sqm less than in the record-breaking year 2017.
