Over 420,000 sqm of office space leased in regional cities in Q1-Q3

A total of 421,400 sqm of office space was leased in the eight biggest regional office markets in Poland – Kraków, Wrocław, the Tri-city, Katowice, Poznań, Łódź, Szczecin and Lublin – in the first three quarters of this year, according to Cushman & Wakefield. The volume was 9% lower than the volume recorded in the same period last year, but 4% higher than the average Q1-Q3 volume recorded in the last three years.

“In the first three quarters of 2018, occupier activity focused on Kraków, Wrocław and the Tri-city – Poland’s three biggest regional markets,” said Jan Szulborski, consultant, consulting and research, at Cushman & Wakefield. However, he added that the notable trend towards decentralization in the business services sector is now leading to an increased leasing activity in mid-sized cities including Łódź, Poznań and Katowice, and smaller urban centers including Rzeszów, Bydgoszcz and Toruń.
