The Pengab index, which measures conditions in the banking industry, decreased by 4.6 points month-to-month to 22.3 points in February, according to the Monitor Bankowy report issued by Kantar TNS. Last year, the indicator stood at 23.2 points.
The current indicator pummeled by 12.3 points m/m to 12.4 points, while the forecast grew by 3.1 points to 32.1 points.
“In February, the activity of both entrepreneurs and individual clients on the deposit market decreased. There was also a decrease in the activity of individual clients and entrepreneurs on the loan market. However, in the coming quarter, the upturn in the consumer loan market, housing loans, investment and revolving loans is expected,” said Marcin Idzik from Kantar TNS.
