WSE-listed Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo (PGNiG) is beginning to cooperate with the Polish Academy of Science (PAN) on the search and extraction of energy resources , especially liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons. PGNiG said it wants to uphold its hydrocarbons exploitation target of 4 bln cubic meters of gas and 800,000 tons of oil.
Both entities signed a letter of intent regarding R&D cooperation on September 29. “The cooperation will hopefully allow the increase the effectiveness in the search for hydrocarbons,” a statement read.
Apart from maintaining its target on extracting domestic oil and gas, PGNiG wants to get 400,000 tons of oil and 400 mln cubic meters of gas from its Norway deposits.
