Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG) and Ukrtransgaz have signed another agreement that allows the Polish company to use underground gas storage in Ukraine, PGNiG has announced.
PGNiG has been able to use Ukrainian gas storage since October last year, allowing access to direct commercial operations on the Ukrainian market. The Polish company has supplied gas to recipients since August 2016. By the end of June 2018, PGNiG SA has exported over 1.27 billion m3 of gas to Ukraine.
Ukrtransgaz is an operator of gas transmission pipelines and gas storage facilities in Ukraine. The underground gas storage facilities owned by the company have a capacity of 31 billion m3.
