PLN 300 mln from EU funds for development of city transport

The Ministry of Investment and Development will allocate PLN 300 million from the Infrastructure and Environment Program for cities wishing to buy electric buses and trolleybuses, and the construction of charging stations.

Cities can submit one application for co-financing, with the European Union adding up to 85 percent of the investment costs. All vehicles will have to meet the requirements of the Access Plus program, i.e. be accessible for people with disabilities.

The Infrastructure and Environment Program 2014-2020 is the largest infrastructure program co-financed with European Union funds. Over PLN 118.2 billion has been allocated for the most important investments in the country such as transport, environment, energy, culture and health.
