Poland managed to import more gas from Germany and the Czech Republic than from Russia in February, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reported data cited by Gaz-System, gas pipeline operator.

Throughout January and February, there were 29 days when the supplies from the EU were larger than the import in line with the Jamal contract. As of February, 34 percent of gas import came from German and the Czech intermediate traders who resell Russian fuel in the EU, and only 31 percent came from Russia, this result is “a breakthrough,” the daily pointed out.

That indicates that “there is no concern about Polish supplies of the fuel,” according to the daily.
