Poland has received payments to date under the EU cohesion policy in the amount of €7.7 billion, or 27 percent of all allocated so far funds, the Minister of Investment Jerzy Kwieciński said.
“Our share in cohesion policy is at 22.6 percent and in the amount paid to all countries at 27 percent,” he explained.
“Potential investors have filed motions for 75,000 investments worth PLN 474 billion,” Kwieciński added.
According to the data from February 11, some 75 150 applications for the co-financing of the projects for a total amount of PLN 473.8 billion were submitted. The value of EU co-financing in the applications for co-financing amounted to PLN 292.9 billion. Overall, 31 632 contracts for co-financing projects with Eu subsidies worth PLN 174.1 billion were signed.
At the same time, he pointed out that there are still significant differences as regards the settlement of national program funds towards regional programs which can potentially result in losing €1.2 billion in financing.
